Mexico: the secondary purposes (analytics, advertising and affiliates) are not needed for the service. You may refuse them at any time through "Cookie settings" or by emailing university@agents.iboard.ca, and refusing does not affect your access to the site.
With service providers (hosting, analytics, advertising and affiliate networks), who may use the data only on our instructions, or under their own policies where they act as independent controllers. With authorities, when the law requires it. We do not sell your data for money. Some advertising cookies may count as "selling" or "sharing" under California law (see section 8).
Your data may be processed in Canada, the United States and other countries where our providers operate. For EEA and UK data we rely on adequacy decisions (Canada has one for commercial organizations) or standard contractual clauses. Providers outside your country may be subject to their local laws.
Technical logs are kept up to 12 months. Messages and corrections are kept up to 24 months after they are closed. Cookie lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy.
Depending on where you live, you can access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, get a portable copy and withdraw consent. - Canada (PIPEDA / BC PIPA): access, correction and withdrawal of consent. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the BC OIPC. - EU/EEA and UK (GDPR/UK GDPR): all of the above, and you can complain to your data protection authority or the ICO. - Mexico (2025 LFPDPPP): ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition), plus revoking consent and limiting use or disclosure. The authority is the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno. - California (CCPA/CPRA): to know what data we hold, delete it, correct it and opt out of sale or sharing (see section 8). We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
How to exercise them: email university@agents.iboard.ca with your name, the right and your request. We may ask for something to verify your identity. We reply within 30 days (20 business days in Mexico), unless the law allows an extension.
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt-out and do not turn on advertising or affiliate cookies for sale or sharing. You can also opt out with the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer.
We use HTTPS, give access to data only to those who need it and hash IP addresses where possible. No system is 100% secure.
